✨ Friday Favorites: 5 Favorite Handbags ✨

[This picture cracks me up. The look, I’m pretty sure I still make ha! The tote bag style, the ring on my middle finger, carrying a blanket incase I get cold. I’m nothing but consistent ha!]

I can’t believe that I haven’t done this post sooner! For today’s Friday Favorite, I’m sharing my 5 favorite handbags.

[Tell me you’re an 80’s baby without telling me you’re an 80’s baby ha!]

I am a handbag girl! My family called me Ms. Bag Lady when I was 2 because I’d always carry around my grandma’s purse until I finally got my own. I had a bunch of little coin purses that housed my special treasures [rocks, buttons, fake jewelry from the game Pretty Pretty Princess, anything a toddler thought was awesome]. To my grandpa’s delight I would sit on the couch with him every day and for a good half hour [or so I’m told] I’d show him EVERYTHING in my purse and explain in detail WHY it was special.

My family wasn’t surprised that as I got older my obsession with handbags grew with me. I’ve always loved and been drawn to the oversize totes, or as some people call them, over night bags. All my family and friends always joke about the size of my purse. My grandma calls it my “chuntah” which means suitcase in Armenian.

Not only did my obsession with handbags grow but so did the desire to own designer handbags. When I was fresh out of high school and during my early college days I was obsessed with Coach. That turned to Michael Kors and Tory Burch. Now I’m on to Louis Vuitton and I have my sights set on a couple Chanel bags. Who knows by the time I’m 50 I might own my very own Berkin. 😉

I believe that if I invest in classic designer handbags then I’ll have them forever. They dress up any outfit and give it a clean polished finish. I do take care of my handbags so they will last me a lifetime. I believe the same in investing in classic luxury accessories, shoes, and jewelry.

Anyway, enough blabbing about my love for handbags ha! Here are my five favorite handbags.

[I did a “What’s in my bag post here]

I LOVE this bag!! It is my baby and his name is Louie lol. My whole family even calls him Louie ha! Fun Fact: It took me THREE months to convince my Grandpa to let me buy this bag with MY OWN money haha. He finally agreed and I couldn’t get to the mall fast enough. When I got the LV store, I was so excited I actually picked the wrong pattern 🤦🏻‍♀️ I wanted the Monogram version, not the Damier Ebene. I realized as I was leaving and I couldn’t exchange it because I had mine monogrammed. I’m actually glad I have this one and one day I’ll get the other one. [Sorry babe lol]

It’s name ‘Neverful’ is so accurate because it’s hard to fill it. It has so much room for so much stuff.  My family used to give me a hard time about the price tag but they have since stopped because the realized how great it is that they can throw their stuff in it and have me carry it when we all go out. It is quit large and sometimes when I’m out and I’m in small areas, I like the fact that I can synch the sides and make it smaller. It also has an inside zipper pocket and a D-ring where you can hook your keys on it + a top hook closure.

Sezane gift to give

I have been coveting this bag for almost two years before I finally pulled the trigger + bought it! The Gabby Bag is so classic, clean + elegant. I can see myself wearing it with jeans and a tee and a pair of flip flops [in the Summer] or Uggs [in the Fall + Winter]  and then out to dinner in wearing black pants and a sparkly top with heels.

Ugh the gold hardware spoke to my soul especially since its almost braided and not links. I usually don’t buy leather goods but made an expedition with this one and the leather is buttery soft. I love the size of it because it can fit my 13 inch MacBook Pro, binder, planner + notebook, wallet, card holder, keys, cosmetic case, all with ease. The handles are reinforced so I feel confident putting some weight in the bag but I’m also cautious as well.

There is a little zipper pocket on the side and then two large pockets on the outside. I love the outside pockets because its a great place to put your phone, keys, mask, lip balm etc, all the things you reach for a lot + usually find their way to the bottom of your bag. You can fold the sides in to make it a smaller and different shape as well. I like that it doesn’t hold its shape because when you are carrying it it molds to you and makes it more comfortable.  The only thing I wish the bag has is feet on the bottom so when you put it down it’s more protected.

✨ #3. BELT BAG ✨

I am so surprised by how much I love this bag. I really thought I wasn’t going to like it but I love it. It holds all my essentials with room to spare. It has the exact shape of the LV bum bag which I appreciate because I feel like that silhouette is flattering on everyone. The part I love the most is the zipper in the back that I can hold my money + card case. It’s convenient for me to access + hinders anyone trying to pick pocket.

I have used it so many times since purchasing it + it still looks brand new. I love how it’s a nylon black so it is easy to wipe down + the gold hardware is beautiful.

My Grandma gave me this clutch while I was going through a rough time in my life. She knows how much I love bags and how much I love anything silver, black, and sparkly so she figured it was a win to make me smile, even for a couple seconds. And ya know, she was right.

I love it the most because it was my grandma’s so it holds emotional value but I also love it because it is different than the normal clutch. It has sleek and clean lines with minimal sparkle so it gives it a very sophisticated and polished look. You can either hold it like a traditional clutch or it has a long strap that you can were on your shoulder.

When this bag arrived I was shocked at the quality. It is so well made! This picture doesn’t do it justice either. It is stunning! During the holidays when I don’t use it I keep it out as decor. And when I don’t use it as decor out in the open, it has a prime spot in my hutch. This is such a show stopper that it can be dressed up for down. I might use it for a wedding I have coming up in November. And I can also see myself using it for a date night or drinks with the girls, paired with jeans, a cute tee + blazer. It’s that good. It does come in several different color options + ships free with amazon prime.

Obviously I’m pretty consistent with what I love about handbags, big, black, and designer. But when I go out, I normally don’t go alone, I’m with my grandma so I need to take stuff for them, so in my purse it goes. My brothers are notorious for saying, “Hey Jen can you carry this for me?”  and throw stuff in my purse as well. But most of all I’m guilty of carrying everything but the kitchen sink in my purse.

I’ve tried to carry smaller bags but I just end up filling them to the brim and needing more space so I go back to my oversize totes.

So tell me. What are your favorite handbags?! Or do you have a favorite something?!  Tell me in the comments below!
