Words. They are so powerful. Either alone or together. They can lift you up, break you down, set your soul on fire or stop you in your tracks. So today I’m sharing why this quote stopped me in my tracks + how true the words really are.
My friend actually is the one who sent this to me + as I read it I got chills. I stopped what was I doing. It was like I got hit with a dose of reality + I kinda did. Everything about this quote is true. It is so important that the people around you actually support you, love you, cheer for you, be honest with you even if it hurts to hear.
As I’ve gotten older I’ve come to the realization that the people around you have such a deep impact on all aspects of your life. If the wrong people are in your life you aren’t able to be the best version of yourself because they aren’t helping you grow. They are keeping you locked in the same version of yourself, essentially in a cage.
I have personally been around the wrong people, as I’m sure we all have. And once I got away from them it was like I bloomed over night into a better version of myself. Until I saw this quote I didn’t realize how much of a cage I was in.
My hope for this post is if you have those toxic people in your life try to fade them out. If you can’t please don’t let their influence stop you from growing + becoming the best version of yourself! You deserve to grow + become the best version of yourself. Don’t let anyone stop that!! You were to Sparkle and Shine Bright!
