✨ Friday Favorites: Devotionals ✨

FF devotionals

If you follow me on Instagram [@jennniferlynn11] you know that the last few days have been really hard on me thanks to my anxiety. It go so bad it brought me to tears. One of things I did OVER + OVER again is cry out to God to help me, to wrap His arms around me + take away my pain + give me peace + comfort. Another thing I did was read my devotional + favorite Bible verses. So today I’m sharing my favorite devotionals that I’ve read over + over again.

These are in particular order either. I love them all, just for different reasons ya know? So we go!

#1. New Morning Mercies by Paul Tripp

This devotional is so good! It took everything in me to not skip ahead + keep reading! I highlighted almost every page + usually the whole page. Everyday spoke to my soul + it brought me such comfort! There’s a devotional for each day of the year so you can read it over + over again.FF devotionals

#2. The Bible Recap: A One-Year Guide to Reading and Understanding the Entire Bible

This is an awesome resource if you want to start reading the Bible or trying to do it in a year. Each day you read a couple of chapters of the Bible + then this book gives you the spark notes version. BUT it also gives you amazing context + reliable content that you can apply to your day.

#3.Unshakeable: 365 Devotions for Finding Unwavering Strength in God’s Word by Christine Caine

This is a great devotional because its shorter than the others I’ve mentioned so far. Its perfect for when you don’t have a lot of time but still want to learn about God + his Word. In this devotional you get a personal story for Christine + she ties it into a message from the Bible and a Bible verse. Then at the end is a prayer for the day. It may be short but it really packs a punch + gets to the point of how amazing God is + how much He loves us.

#4. Live in Grace, Walk in Love: A 365-Day Journey

I have raved about Bob Goff + his books for a while now. He is such an inspirational person + his love for Jesus + God shines through the pages + it’s impossible not to feel it + get excited about Jesus’ love for us. This devotional is awesome because it applies our today + our everyday + connects it with the Bible + God’s love.

#5. The Duck Commander Devotional

This was my very first devotional I ever got. I owe a lot of my faith journey to the Duck Dynasty cast. When I discovered their show it was during some pretty dark days I was going through + the way they shared their faith + about Jesus + God was really inspiring. I bought this devotional to help me get back into my Faith + it was great. This devotional has each member of the cast choosing a Bible verse, talk about the verse + then offers a prayer at the end. Loved it!

Not Pictured:#6. Jesus Calling by Sarah Young

The reason this one isn’t pictured is because its on my iPad. But I really love this one too. It’s basically Jesus talking to you everyday + who doesn’t want that. This is another one that I highlighted every day the whole thing. Each day it spoke to my soul + gave me such peace. I actually read this twice.

So tell me. What are your favorite devotionals?!  Tell me in the comments below!
