Happy Thanksgiving week Friend!! I hope you had a great relaxing weekend! Today I’m sharing how I was determined to be intentional during the Sephora sale + not break the bank this time. And guess what?! I did it! This is how I did it!So, because I knew the sale was coming, I took a look at all the items I saved in my Sephora profile. To be honest, I’ve saved so many items that I kinda forgot what what all is there. So I wanted to refresh my memory ha! As I scrolled through all the products, I wanted to see if any sparked an excitement or want within me. I’ll admit, no spark.
Sure there were items that I wanted to try but nothing gave me that excitement ya know? I was shocked to be honest. I couldn’t believe that I couldn’t think of anything I really wanted or needed a restock on.
Because I’m a rouge member I was able to get 20% off + I didn’t want it to go to “waste” per say. I decided to check out the new products that just dropped + categories that I usually find products I want to try like eye + face palettes. Those are the products I use the most. However, I did still want to be super intentional about the products I purchased so I kept my current palettes near me so I wouldn’t purchase similar products.
That actually really helped! As I saw products that sparkled an interest, and I looked at the details, I realized that they were similar to products I already had. So instead of purchasing it, I added it to my “wishlist” to check out later.
How I ended up purchasing the 3 products I did was they are products that I don’t have any of + I’m always on the hunt of trying new lip products.
✨ Products I Purchased ✨
#1. Lineage Lip Treatment – I love lip products + I’m always wanting to try new [to me] lip treatments, balms, conditioners, etc. I heard good things about this one + was intrigued with the applicator that stays in the lid. So far, so good. The only thing is I’m not crazy about the powerful coconut taste. But it does work well to hydrate the lips + gives a nice shine.
#2. Color WOW Root Cover Up [Shade: Black]– I am very blessed + I don’t have greys that need covering up. However, I bought this product because I want to “fill” in the blank spots when I put my hair up. This product is awesome for that! Its waterproof + has a shine to it so it looks very natural. I have fine hair but I have a lot of it so I want to make it look fuller. I used it once so far + it looked + worked great.
#3. Clean Reserve – Reserve Sel Santal Travel Spray– I was so excited to see that this came in a travel size! I have been wanting to smell this perfume for a while now but every time I’d go into the store, there were no testers. #thankyouCovid. It smells AMAZING! It’s very clean yet musky. It’s feminine masculine smell. I don’t like floral or sweet fragrances I like more earthy, woody, manly scents ha! I will definitely buy the full bottle!
To be honest, I am really proud of myself for being intentional about my purchases! I have used the lip treatment several times as well as the fragrance. I haven’t used the hair product yet because I haven’t really gone anywhere ha! But I will say that I did learn that it is easier than I thought to be super intentional about purchases.
And the fact that I didn’t have a version of the products made me super excited to get them. I also feel like I appreciate them more because I don’t have substitutes if you will, or like similar products.
So tell me. Have you ever been super intentional about a sale?! Tell me in the comments below! I’d love to know!
