Happy November 1st Friend! I can’t believe we are in November already! I feel like it was summer yesterday! Not that I’m complaining, I love November. It’s my birthday month ha! Anyway, with today being All Saints Day I thought it would be a great day to share my Gift Guide of Faith Based Gifts.
I know I know, gift giving is not the reason for the season, to me, Jesus is. And it’s hard to give that in a physical gift. So I tried to to the next best thing + offer physical gifts that can help lead others to Jesus + the Christian Faith. I tried to give a wide range of options. Some for just the length of the season + others year round.
This is my first Faith based gift guide so please be kind. If you have other suggestions, please leave them in the comments below! I’d to hear them + learn more about how best to serve you in this way!
So, here we go!
#1. God’s Finger Print– I have admired this for so long that it might be one of the many birthday gifts I treat myself to ha! Basically its a finger print made up from one verse of every book [66] in the Bible. It is available in different colors + sizes. Perfect of hanging on your wall to remind, encourage, comfort + so many other things all year round.
#2. Rose Book of Bible Charts, Maps, and Time Lines– This is a great resource for the person who is just starting on their faith journey, someone who is super visual, the list goes on. I bought this book because I am a visual person and thought it could help me understand how everything might have looked back in the day. Noah’s ark, The Tabernacle + all it’s components, Solomon’s Temple, King Herod’s temple, etc. Another reason I bought the book is because it has Jesus’ lineage which I thought was awesome.
#3. Cross Necklace– I love wearing my Armenian cross necklace because it is a daily remember of God + His love for me, for you, for the world. That I’m not alone + I’ll be okay no matter what happens. Giving someone you love a physical object to represent all that is pretty special in my opinion.
#4. Advent Calendar with Story– This advent calendar I think is great for kids or someone just starting on their faith journey because it explains the story of Jesus + why we do the things we do around this time of year. It’s broken down along the 24 days so it’s not too much information to consume all at once! You can do this in addition to the advent house as well!
#5. The Greatest Gift: Unwrapping the Full Love Story of Christmas by Ann Voskamp– This book is a really awesome “devotional” in a way. It is 24 days long + takes events through out the whole Bible to illustrate the great love story. It’s a different take on advent + I really enjoyed that.
#6. Highlighters– These highlighters are also on my wish list because when used in a Bible, they don’t bleed through to the next page. It’s like magic ha! These are a great gift for someone who journals or writes in their Bible or books really. Gift alone or with one of the books mentioned in this guide + it’ll be a special + thoughtful gift for sure!
#7. Advent House– This is probably one of my favorite items on this guide! I bought a similar house myself because instead of putting candy or a treat in each day, we put an act of kindness, favorite scripture, a movie we’re going to watch together, or an activity to do with the family etc. We try to live out the meaning of Christmas, by doing something that will honor God or others or loving on our family.
#8. NLT Chronological Life Application Study Bible– This is the Bible I have + love it! It’s easy to read, has amazing details about locations, people, events etc. It also has great ways that on how we can apply the Bible to our current lives. I also enjoy that I can see how everything happened in order. Although it can be a little annoying when reading a whole chapter at a time, but other than that a great Bible + resource!
#9. Live in Grace, Walk in Love: A 365-Day Journey by Bob Goff– Everything Bob Goff writes is absolutely amazing! This devotional I’m sure will not disappoint. I don’t have it yet ha! but can’t wait until I do! Any of his books would be a great gift!
#10. Prayer Cards– Last but not least, prayer cards. These would be a great gift for anyone! They can set them in a place in their home that they see a lot + bring them comfort! They not only are great for your spiritual well being but they make great home decor too.
