Hello Hello Friend! I hope you’re doing well!! We made it to the middle of the week!! Today’s post is all about my thoughts + hopes for what’s to come for Sparkle and Shine Bright! I have so many ideas for what I’d like to see SSB become! I created Sparkle and Shine Bright, LLC over six years ago. It took me about 5 years to finally make it live + post a blog post. You can read my very first post here!
When I first decided to create a blog I wanted it to be solely about fashion + make up. I’ve always wanted to help people + I thought that I could do that with just fashion + make up. As I got older + grew + evolved into the person I am, my vision for SSB changed.
Thanks to a lot of life + the experiences that came with it plus the wisdom that comes with age lol the way I want to help people has changed as has my ability to help people, and I mean that in a good way. One of the way I want to shift SSB is that instead of just helping people find awesome products I want to help them on a deeper level.
I want SSB to be something that serves both God + others. To help people not feel so alone in this crazy world we live in. I’m still navigating my faith journey + I’m hoping that documenting my journey might help someone else + bring them closer to God + Jesus. Helping others to find the Lord + feel His love is the greatest thing I could ever help someone do!
I still want to help others find those awesome products + that will still continue because I love bragging about products that I love ha! But I also want to help people who might suffer from anxiety [or anything really] + feel alone. I want them to come to SSB + leave feeling better, not so alone, + hopefully with some tips + tricks to whatever brought them to SSB. I want to be a one stop shop!
My hope is that SSB is a place where you can come to escape the real world for a while, find some inspiration for something, positivity, pretty pictures, awesome products, classics, neutrals + of course sparkles. I also want to extend SSB to other outlets other than the blog + social media. I have an idea or two but haven’t really gone any further lol so stay tuned for that!
As of now I post every Monday, Wednesday + Friday at 6AM EST on the blog, Monday to Friday on Instagram + pretty much every day on Pinterest. I’d love to post everyday but being a one women show + the sole caregiver of my grandma it’s too much for me.
I try to do an equal amount of product posts + deeper, meaningful, helpful posts if that makes sense. Product posts meaning the posts solely focusing on products that I’m loving + explaining why. The helpful posts are the posts where I try to help on a deeper meaning, so for example the post on what I do when my anxiety is high + I’m spiraling. Another example would be my posts on Intentional Shopping. I highlight a company/brand that help the environment by using sustainable materials or reduce their waste to almost zero.
One thing I do want to do soon is change the logo. As much as I love it, I feel like it doesn’t represent Sparkle the way I want it to. I’m thinking of keeping the white + gold, because we all know those are my favorite colors right now ha! But I’d like to add sparkles in some ways + make it more classic in a way.
I’d also like to update the website to be have more functions, easily navigate it + search for whatever you’re looking for. That might take a little longer because your girl is not a coder or website builder so its going to take a lot of googling + trial + error ha! If you have any tips + tricks to updating a website, let your girl know ha!
Otay that’s it for now ha! If you’re still with me you’re a rock star!
