✨My Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Guide 2021✨

Happy Friday Friend! Welcome to my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Guide!! I’m sure by now you know that today is Influencer Day for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, which is my day to shop. So today I’m bringing you my complete guide to the #NSale. That includes tips + tricks to shopping the sale, the items + I’m loving, purchasing or already have + full descriptions of why.

My last years picks are here if you’re curious lol. To be honest, I am disappointed in Nordstrom for the structure of the sale this year. I don’t think you have to spend tens of thousands of dollars to stop a sale early ya know? I feel it was better in years past when cardholders no matter the status could shop for a week or so, let them restock items + then open the sale to the public. ✨ DO NOT OPEN A CREDIT CARD TO HAVE ACCESS TO THIS SALE!! IT IS NOT WORTH IT!! ✨ At the end of the day it is just a sale, they are just items ya know?

When shopping the sale instead of adding everything that peaked my interest in my cart I challenged myself to only add things that will add to my wardrobe that I don’t already have, that are neutrals, will last me more than one season, and I can make at least 3 outfits out of each item.

With the uncertainty of how the fall and winter are going to be like, I wanted warm, comfy and cute pieces that I can either feel put together while staying home, or feeling put together actually going out. As much as the good deals are, I really concentrated on pieces that I don’t already have, not adding another item of something I already have just because the price was good.

I’m not sure if its a good thing or not, but a lot of the items that I liked I already have and love so I decided to break this Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Guide into 3 parts. I will say that my tried and true picks are on the more expensive side. However, this is the time I buy them because they are discounted and I know they will last a long time, so to me its worth it [sorry babe lol].

  1. My tried and true picks- Products I already purchased, LOVE + recommend
  2. In my cart- Items I am purchasing
  3. On my wish list- Items I’m on the fence about

Before I go into my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Guide here are some tips + tricks for shopping the sale that I’ve learned over the years of shopping it:

  1. First of all, please know that YOU DO NOT need to buy anything from the sale + you DO NOT have to feel shame or anything like that. At the end of the day its just a sale, just stuff.
  2. Because with Nordstrom its always free shipping and free returns, make multiple purchases because things will sell out fast.
  3. If something you want is sold out, don’t get discouraged! Keep checking back because they do restock items and you can snag it then. Also, try calling your local store because they can hunt items down the website says it’s out of stock. I’ve personally done this a couple times.
  4. Fall/winter and basic pieces will sell out fast. So think sweaters, cardigans, leggings, designer denim and booties- just to name a few.
  5. Items that bloggers/influencer show will also sell out fast as well.

✨My Tried + True Products✨

#1. BLANKNYC Suede Moto Jacket [Sale Price: $99.90 // After Sale: $188]: I LOVE this jacket and I get compliments every time I wear it. You can dress it up and wear it with a dress and heels or dress it down with a tee, a pair of jeans and sneakers. Its super versatile and the quality is amazing. I’ve had mine for years and it still looks brand new.

#2. Free People Sweater [Sale Price: $79.90 // After Sale: $128]:  This year’s is a little different from the one I have but the principal is the same. I actually like this year’s version of the neck better because I don’t really like anything around my neck. But they both are super comfy, oversized + can be worn so many different ways that the price per wear is definitely worth the purchase!

#3. Spanx Faux Leather Leggings [Sale Price: $64.90 // After Sale: $98]: I really like these. I do recommend sizing up a size from your normal though became they suck you in so they are a bit snug [as they should be]. They can be dressed up with sweaters and booties or dressed down with a long white long sleeve tee, a denim jacket and cute sneakers. I wear mine with sweaters layered onto of a long white tee with  my mini uggs. I feel like it looks cute and the two most important parts: 1. I’m warm and 2. its comfortable.

#4. BareFoot Dreams Blanket [Sale Price: $119.90 // After Sale: $180]: Again, I know its crazy to spend over $100 on a blanket [again, sorry babe lol] but it really is worth it! It is so soft and warm! The quality is amazing as well. I wash mine every week, had it for over a year and it still looks brand new. The fibers/fabric is something special because its unlike any other blanket I’ve had or felt. It’s the best to either cuddle up with on the couch or go to sleep with. I take it everywhere when I travel. Highly recommend!

#5. Gorjana Griffin Dog Tag Necklace [Sale Price: $42.90 // After Sale: $65]: I loved that this was dainty, gold, neutral + had an adjustable chain. Its great for layering + I usually wear it with more gold dainty necklaces. I love the adjustable chain because depending on the layer necklaces I can get it to the perfect length. But to be honest, I really bought this because I wanted to match with My Marine ha!

#6. Barefoot Dreams Socks [Sale Price: $19.90 // After Sale: $15 per pair]: These socks are worth EVERY PENNY! Its like a cloud is wrapped around your feet! I love these socks! They are so soft and warm. They wash well and still look brand new. I like that they are neutral colors so you can pair them with outfits and still feel and look put together.

#7. Riki Loves Riki -Riki Skinny 10X Lighted Mirror [Sale Price: $130 // After Sale: $200]: Okay, I know this mirror is crazy expensive but it really is worth it. Its a really nice size mirror with ridiculously bright lights that you can adjust. It comes with a stand, magnetic phone holder that you can connect with blue tooth for amazing selfies and handsfree videos. As well as it also comes with a magnetic magnified mirror. It also is super light so its nice for traveling or moving it wherever you need it.

✨ In My Cart ✨

I did end up getting a golden ticket to shop the sale on Wednesday so I went to my store to purchase these items but like everywhere, the selection was limited. But I was able to order  these items at the store so when they arrive + as long as they are still in stock I’ll review them!

#1. AllSaints Rita Oversize One-Shoulder Long Sleeve Tee [Sale Price: $49.90 // After Sale: $75 // Color: Chalk White]: Oversized, one shoulder, neutral. What more can I ask ha! This shirt looks so comfy + I can see myself wearing it all year round since I’m always cold ha! I’m a firm believer that if you like something enough get it in every color so I did ha!

#2. Free People Leo Henley [Sale Price: $45.90 // After Sale: $68 // Color: Black]: I love Free People! Especially their henleys! Oversized, one shoulder, neutral. What more can I ask ha! I can see myself wearing this so many ways all year round! I’m a firm believer that if you like something enough get it in every color so I did ha!

#3. Barefoot Dreams 2-Pack Crew Socks [Sale Price: $22.90 // After Sale: $30 // Color: Gray Skies-Satin]: These socks are worth EVERY PENNY! Its like a cloud is wrapped around your feet! I love these socks! They are so soft and warm. They wash well and still look brand new. I like that they are neutral colors so you can pair them with outfits and still feel and look put together.

#4. AllSaints Rita Oversize One-Shoulder Long Sleeve Tee [Sale Price: $49.90 // After Sale: $75 // Color: Black]: Oversized, one shoulder, neutral. What more can I ask ha! This shirt looks so comfy + I can see myself wearing it all year round since I’m always cold ha! I’m a firm believer that if you like something enough get it in every color so I did ha!

#5. Free People Leo Henley [Sale Price: $45.90 // After Sale: $68 // Color: Bright White]: I love Free People! Especially their henleys! Oversized, one shoulder, neutral. What more can I ask ha! I can see myself wearing this so many ways all year round! I’m a firm believer that if you like something enough get it in every color so I did ha!

✨ On My Wish List ✨

#1. Free People Moonchild Shirt Jacket [Sale Price: $79.90 // After Sale: $128 // Color: Olive]: I have to say I’m really surprised that I like this jacket as much as I do with the aggressive distressing of the bottom hem. But I really like the length, color, the button detailing, and the over size fit. However, looking at my closet right now I have 2 marine green jackets already so I don’t think I need another one ha! But who knows, the sale does go on for a long time ha!

#2. Ted Baker London Naahla Large Tote [Sale Price: $94.90 // After Sale: $159 // Comes in 3 Colors]: Ugh tote of my dreams ha! I love Ted Baker London products! To me they are affordable + of good quality. I love the look of this tote, I can picture filling it to the brim ha! But as I look in my closet + see my other black tote I feel like it wouldn’t be a wise purchase. But the sale is going on for a while so who knows ha!

#3. BLANKNYC The Madison Ripped Crop Straight Leg Jeans [Sale Price: $54.90 // After Sale: $98] : Do I need another pair of distressed denim? Nope but these look really cute ha! I like that they aren’t super distressed + I like the color.

#4. BRACHA Initial Pendant Necklace [Sale Price: $29.90 // After Sale: $50]:  I feel like everyone has this necklace + I get why, its super cute! I like that it’s gold + a sturdy weight. Why it’s on my wish list is because I always wear my Armenian Cross + its silver. While I know you can mix metals it’s just not my thing + I’m not sure I’ll like it as much in silver.

#5. Zella High Waist Studio Lite Pocket 7/8 Leggings [Sale Price: $39.90 // After Sale: $65]: I have heard nothing but good things about this brand, espeically their leggings! I love that they come in the 7/8 length because shorty that I am, they’ll either be cropped or they’ll be the perfect long length for me ha! The pocket is also a nice touch! The only reason I didn’t snag these right away is because I have so many black leggings + since I do at home workouts, I didn’t see it as a necessity ya know?

I should say that I don’t really grab anything from the beauty, home, shoes, or accessories categories. I don’t really use any of the beauty products included in the sale so I can’t speak to any of them ya know? As for shoes, they just aren’t my thing ha! I don’t really need anything in the home category + other than the tote bag i mentioned above, the accessories section didn’t hit me.

Wow that was a lot ha! If you’re still with me, you are a true rock star!
