Hello Hello! I hope you’re doing well and had a great start to your week! I know I say this all the time, but where did November go? Ha!I mean it was Labor Day like yesterday. Not that I’m complaining, 2020 needs to end, but wow. It was like 3 years in March and now I feel like I blinked and it’s the end of the year. Anyway, I digress [again lol].
This week I’m kicking off my 2020 Gift Guides. I feel like a lot of people are shopping early this year so I want to get them out to you. Today I’m kicking the gift guides off with one for your Beauty Guru, we all have at least one ha! I meant to have this published earlier but I wanted to make sure I grabbed the best [in my opinion] and give thorough explanations of why I picked the items and if I have the products, why I love it so much. I also grabbed some products that would be good on the budget as you can break them up and give them to a couple different people [or keep some for yourself ha!]
I tried to grab products from all types of price ranges and I only picked from Sephora because I feel that they have a wide range of products that fall in different price categories, and clean beauty + skin care. With that in mind I feel like there’s something here for everyone.
As the season goes on and I find more products, I think I’m leaning on making a separate gift guide, a part two if you will, because I feel like this one is pretty long already. I’ll let you know regardless though of how I end up doing it. I’m still work in progress ha! Otay I talked enough, let’s jump in!
#1. VOLUSPA Advent Calendar Mini Candle Set- I thought this would be a great find that you can break up and give to others. I feel like candles are a great gift to give because they ofter a lot in one gift. Candles give off great smells and can add to a relaxing ambience to a safe. Then when the candle is done, you have a cute jar to put trinkets in or a pretty way to display Q-tips on a vanity. Its a gift that keeps on giving ha.
#2. Benefit Cosmetics Cheeks Stars Reunion Tour: Blush, Bronzer & Highlighter Palette– I had a similar palette to this and loved it. It has pretty much everything you need in it. You can even use some of the shades for eye shadows if you want to. What I like about this is, Benefit offers a smaller option as well so you have options yet still giving someone a blush, bronze + highlighter.
#3. L’Occitane Hand Cream Tin– This is hands down my favorite hand lotion of all time! My favorite scent is the Cherry Blossom, which this tin has. The lotion absorbs quickly, doesn’t feel greasy or oily and leaves your hands feeling so soft! I picked this because you can break it up and give a hand lotion and candle as a gift and save one for you ha! They are a nice size and fits in cosmetic bags.
#4. NARS Orgasm Blush & Lip Ultimate Set– I feel like this shades is the most known + universally looks good on every skin shade! I have to say I love NARS! I just don’t use them anymore because they aren’t cruelty free. Again, this set you can give the whole thing to yourself ha! or as a gift or again, break it up. It’s great because the shade will look amazing on anyone!
#5. tarte Blush Authority™ Amazonian Clay Cheek Wardrobe– I don’t personally have this product but I have heard GREAT things about it! I pick this for couple reasons. One, you can get a lot of products for an affordable price. You can break it up and give it as separate gifts for as one big one. Tarte is a clean beauty company which I appreciate, and their shades, for the most part look amazing on anyone so there’s bound to be a color or two in each set of 3 for everyone!
#6. Slip Small Slipsilk™ Scrunchies– Okay, I know this is kinda a splurge but I’m telling you, they are worth it! They hold your hair great in a messy bun or pony tail but don’t leave that annoying crease and don’t rip your hair out when you pull it out of your hair. They offer different sizes + patterns. I bought the small size because I have fine, thin hair, yet a lot of it, and it is super long. The small size holds my hair great and no crease! I’ll never go back to using anything else. This is a good gift because it’s a great product and you can spit it up and add to it with someone else.
#7. SEPHORA COLLECTION Wild Wishes Multi-Palette Blockbuster- I thought this was a great gift for someone who is new to beauty and wants to experiment with it. This kit has every color + shade in eyeshadows, even cream eyeliners , a variety of colors in blushes + highlighters, two brushes and an eye pencil. It has so many possibilities of different looks one can create. It also offers someone to experiment with cream + powder products so they can figure out wha they like best before buying full sizes.
#8. Too Faced Sugar Peach Face & Eye Palette – Peaches and Cream Collection– I have this a love it. I mix the two shades on the left and the bottom right and sweep it over my cheeks after applying my bronzer, highlighter + blush for a rosy, sun kissed glow/flush. It smells like peaches with is fun and was great to travel with! I feel like the shades will look great on anyone and it has blush, highlighter + bronzer in it so its a great all in one products with multiple uses.
#9. Tatcha The Kissu Lip Mask- I have raved about this products for MONTHS now! I think I’ve gone through 5ish jars this year alone. It works amazing and is a clean product. I use it as a mask but also as lip balm through out the day. The only con I have is that its in a jar and you have to either use your finger or the gold little spatula it comes with. But either way you have to wipe your finger or the tool after each use. I wish they can put this in a tube with a deer foot applicator or something like that. Plus the jar is hard to store in a cosmetic bag because of the size.
#10. Bobbi Brown Sheer Indulgence Extra Lip Tint Trio– This would be great gift for someone you know who is so into beauty but you might not be. Its hard to tell what color/shade to get someone so I like this because it’s a sheer Lip tint so it is not like its going to be a bold, dark or light color ya know? You can either give the whole thing to someone or break it up. If you break it up, again because it’s a sheer lip tint, the colors should look good on everyone. It will just be a little something something on the lip ya know?
#11. IGK First Class Charcoal Detox Dry Shampoo– This is the greatest dry shampoo ever! I can say that because I’ve tried them all ha! It cleans your hair, smells amazing and gives you some nice volume. What else can you ask for? It does come in a mini/travel size along with most of their products. I love the IGK product line! Every one I tired was awesome! So not only are you giving a great product, but you’re also giving the person an extra day or two of not having to wash their hair ha!
#12. FENTY BEAUTY by Rihanna Glossy Posse Mini Gloss Bomb Set: Holo’Daze Edition– I have heard NOTHING but good things about the brand Fenty + these lips glosses! I might add this to my cart, ya know From: Me; To: Me ha! This would be a great gift to snag and break it up and put it with a cup mug or picture frame with a photo of the two of you. The shade range is great and seems to look great on a lot of skin shades. I think this would also be a great gift for someone starting out in the make up world to see what shade ranges they prefer, shimmer or matte, etc.
#13. LAWLESS The One Eyeshadow Palette– I think we all know by now, how much I LOVE the brand Lawless! I use this eyeshadow palette every day. I love every product of theirs, but I feel like it is hard to pick out a foundation or blush shade for someone ya know? I like this palette because it offers a lot of looks that can benefit a lot of different people’s personal styles + favorites. It’s also super pigmented + clean. If this is too big on either size or price, Lawless also offers two smaller palettes. One a neutral color story and the other a pink color story.
#14. Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balm– This is a new favorite of mine. I picked it up during the Sephora Holiday Sale and LOVE it! It works amazing + fast. It’s perfect to fit in your cosmetic bag in your bag. Its a clean product and I have to say I love the packaging. It’s easy to use, just be careful because a lot can come out fast, so just don’t squeeze it too hard. I tend to use this more during the day and the Tatcha one at night. This is a great gift because especially in the winter we all need little extra hydration to the lips ya know? This is a great stand alone fit or paired with a candle, those Slip hair ties I shared, or a gift card to someplace.
