✨Friday Favorites: Confidence✨

Yay! It’s Friday! We made it to the weekend! I hope you had a great week and have some fun + safe plans for the weekend! One more week of October, where did the time go?! I’m all for it since I love the holiday season and lets face it, we all want 2020 to end, am I right?

Today’s edition of Friday Favorites is all about confidence and what I do to feel my absolute best. It may sound a little narcissistic but I feel my most confident when I look my best, including my makeup + my outfit. I’ll put on my favorite playlist and jam out to music, do my skin care routine a little slower, so its more of an experience than a routine. Then I’ll start on my makeup.  My favorite brand has been Lawless Beauty.  It is a clean brand that has the pigmentation of designer brands. I feel the packaging is luxurious and that helps the whole process feel more special + lux. Again, I apply my makeup a little slower so I can appreciate the experience + feel good about it.  I feel that my makeup is the most important part in my confidence because your face is what people see first, remember, look at the most ya know? Having a good solid make up routine is very important for me and having products that help me feel good + beautiful is key.

I have all these products and wrote all about my fave face products here and my fave eye products here. So I won’t go into detail [bore you lol] on each individual product ha! The part to really take away is the way the products apply to the skin and they amplify your natural beauty and that is what makes me feel my best. I don’t feel like I look like another person like I’m wearing a mask or 12 pounds of makeup.  I think I look like me and I just hit the enhance button ha!  I usually do the same face routine and choose my eye look based on what I’m wearing unless I do my go to, bronze gold sparkle look.

Once I’m satisfied with how my makeup came out I’ll pick out my outfit. My go to uniform is a pair of distressed denim, a black top, and depending on the season either flip flops or my Uggs. After I choose my outfit I’ll pick my accessories, jewelry + bag. I use my Louis Vuitton Neverful GM as my everyday bag because it goes with pretty much everything. However, if I’m feeling a little extra matchy-matchy I’ll choose another handbag that goes better.

[I changed it up here and put on these espadrilles]

Depending on if the handbag has hardware I’ll choose my jewelry based on that. If it doesn’t, like my Neverful then I’ll pick depending on how sparkly or classic I want to go. My hair is pretty easy, its super long so I just either straighten it or throw it up in a messy bun. Once my make up + hair is done and I have on my outfit I feel like I have a suit of armor on and that I can conquer the world. I feel like nothing can bring me down + and I don’t let anything change that. It’s like my armor won’t let it.  Then as I check off things on my to do list, it just amplifies that feeling because I’m being productive and I LOVE crossing things off my list ha!

I know this seems like a lot but it truly helps me feel better and at the end of the day thats all that matters.  What I find fascinating is that everyone’s process for feeling their most confident is different and I love that because we can all learn from each other. The processes don’t have to be the same and thats the beauty in it. I personally love learning about how people do things + why because I either discover new things that help my life or I learn how other people live + do things and I find it interesting how different, yet the same they can be. There should be no shame in how + what you do to make yourself feel confident. For some it’s working out, or cooking, or cleaning. To each their own. There is no right or wrong here, only different.
